Auditorium Manager - Part-time (.50)

RSU 26 in Orono is seeking an Auditorium Manager with experience and knowledge of theater operations to manage the RSU 26 Performing Arts Center. The Auditorium Manager will oversee everyday operations of the district’s Performing Arts Center.  

This individual should have professional experience and knowledge of performance industry norms and standards, including technical environments and equipment related to theater operations such as lighting, sound, and rigging.  Additionally, candidates should have excellent oral and written communications skills, demonstrated organizational and problem solving skills, ability to work as part of a team, and have availability for a flexible work schedule (including nights, weekends, and sporadically during the summer).  The Auditorium Manager will provide support to RSU 26 and community performing arts programs for production and performance, including:  oversee training and management of all who have access to theater equipment; oversee use, maintenance and storage of equipment and spaces; supervise all events; coordinate and oversee technical requirements for all performances; coordinate the auditorium schedule/calendar of events; prepare and submit budget and purchase requests for auditorium needs; and manage student technician theater crew.

A Criminal History Records Check (CHRC) from the state of Maine is required for employment.  Benefits package provided, including a leave package, as well as health, vision, and dental benefits.  Pay range $23-$30/hr based on experience. Work schedule will be based on both ongoing administrative and organizational roles and responsibilities, as well as auditorium events schedule. Approximately 20 hrs/wk, schedule varies.  Position begins as soon as a suitable candidate is found.
